Where2Go may collect or use:

• Location information: if you give permission, we use your device location to show your position and find events near you.
• Saved app information: your last selected location is stored on your device so the app can reopen in the same area.
• Technical request information: services used to provide maps and event results may receive the selected search area and basic network information needed to respond to the request.

Where2Go does not provide user accounts or collect names, contact details, payment information, advertising identifiers, or analytics data.

2. How we use information

We use information to display maps and nearby events, remember your selected area, operate and secure the app, and meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

3. Sharing information

We use trusted service providers to host public event information and provide New Zealand map tiles. They receive only the information needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information where required by law.

If you choose to open an external event page, calendar, or maps app, that service's own privacy policy will apply.

4. International data processing

Some service providers may process information outside New Zealand. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps required by New Zealand law to ensure appropriate privacy safeguards are in place.

5. Your choices and rights

You can refuse or withdraw location permission through your device settings and browse the map manually.

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you may request access to or correction of personal information we hold about you. Because Where2Go does not use user accounts, we may hold little or no information that can be linked to you.

6. Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information and retain it only for as long as needed to operate Where2Go or meet legal requirements.

Your last selected location remains on your device until it is replaced, you clear the app's data, or you uninstall the app. We do not intentionally maintain a server-side history of your device location.

7. Third-party links

Where2Go may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or content.

8. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be published with a revised effective date.
